Rhino and Fury Wrestling Club Merger Aims to Provide World Class Training For Hunterdon County.
Rhino Wrestling Club announced this week that it will be merging with the Hunterdon County based wrestling club formerly known as Fury Wrestling. The amicable merger was reached through an agreement between Kyle Brewer and Mike Malinconico owners and head coaches of Fury Wrestling Club and Rhino Wrestling Club respectively.
“The transition will be a very easy one,” said Coach Malinconico about the Fury becoming the 3rd Rhino location “for both the staff and the athletes. Kyle and I have worked together in the past at a college level, and we’ve always been on the same page as far philosophy and training goes. Not mention that our coaching style compliment each other very well.”
“With wrestling season right around the corner we thought that now was a perfect time to announce the fact that Mike and I will be working together to make Hunterdon County one of the premier wrestling areas in the country.” Said Kyle Brewer about the merger. “Rhino is doing some really innovative things in the sport of wrestling, things that both I, my athletes, and their parents want to be a part of.” Coach Brewer is referring to simulcasted practices run on the Google Hangouts platform once a week between Rhino’s Morganville, Flemington, and Rock Hill, SC locations. Kyle went on to say “On the first day of the merger two of my eighth grade wrestlers did an online private lesson that was coached by Olympic Medalist, Coleman Scott. No one else is doing stuff like that.”
